It's been a while...

So, it's been a while since I last got on here. I find myself updating tonight because Dane went to bed WAY earlier than his normal time. He is definitely my night owl... just like his Dad. Drew might be more like me. Although with Dane being a night owl I've learned to stay up late, which is not good.

Many things have happened around here since summer. Drew has made our family more complete. Each and every day I think how blessed I am to have two healthy, happy little boys. Dane is growing like a weed. He is already 3, as of Feb.5th. He is my "Little Man" as I sometimes call him. He is such a boy and does all things boy too! Although we found out this past weekend that turtles are not his thing. His cousin Ty has one, got it out of its cage so Dane could see, and.... balling occurred. Dane didn't want anything to do with that turtle as he sobbed in my arms. Dane continues to LOVE baseball. He must know Spring Training is in the air and that the season starts soon because he has been picking up his bat, ball, and glove more lately and wanting Paul and Grandpa to play/hit with him... in the living room. He found a love for boats this summer as well with our few trips out to Hamburg. He just loves being outdoors. He is discovering new things daily and is starting to imitate us (me more than Paul) to a "t!" It is rather comical. You don't think you do things a certain way and then... there he is mimicing you, and you shortly discover... yes, you do do things a certain way!

Drew is Mr. Happy. He is normally in a good mode. He is still a good sleeper. He is now mobile and has been for some time now. He is crawling all over the place. Actually the day he started crawling I was home because of a snow day! So, yay for me! I got to see that milestone happen with my own eyes, first. He also has quite a few teeth. That has been a painful going. Dane never flinched as his teeth came in. Drew... you know! I don't think it will be long before he starts to walk. He stands alone, pulls himself up on furniture, walks along furniture, and sometimes walks while pushing a toy. He is so darn cute! He and Dane are starting to interact a little more now, although you have to watch Dane as he tends to get too rough sometimes. It is so fun to watch them together. Dane likes to try and entertain Drew when he cries, or get his belly to make him laugh. I know the days of "Mom... Dane_________. OR Mom... Drew ________" are coming but for now them wrestling and giggling brings a huge smile to my face.

My two little boys bring such meaning to my life and I love them to no end. Here are some pics for you to see how fun they are and to see how much they've changed since July... my last post.

Enjoy these pictures of the boys. Dane is still loving his brother and Drew is filling out! He's starting to look a little more like Dane did. Paul is still traveling and school starts back Aug. 11th. Booooo.... I think I will have a harder time going back than the kids will. :)

1 Month

So, it has been one month tomorrow that Drew was born. He was born on May 10th at 2:42pm. Paul was out of town and missed the whole thing. My Mom and his mom helped me through the day. Thank goodness I have family that lives close.

When I woke up at 3:30am that Monday, much to my surprise... Drew was ready to be born. My Mom rushed me to the hospital where they hooked me all up and called my Dr. My Dr. then said, "We aren't going to wait all day... Start her pit and tell her she's having a baby today." So, I then called Paul for the 2nd or 3rd time to tell him this was it. He had already been on the phone trying to get a flight back home from Baltimore. Unfortunately, he got home about an hour after Drew was here.

Now that it has been a month, Drew is doing well. Dane just LOVES his brother and has done fabulous with him.

I have been trying to be good about updating... Doesn't look so good does it. :)

Things are good though. We have kept busy. Especially, the last couple of weeks. Out of the last 3 weeks, Paul has traveled for 2 of them. Today is Mother's Day and he actually just left this afternoon for Baltimore until Wed. night. I have 2 1/2 weeks to go until I am supposed to deliver baby boy #2. We'll see. :)

Dane is doing great! Growing like a weed! I can't believe how big he is and also how independent he is getting. I have to remind myself sometimes that he is only 2 not 4. His size will get ya every time.

This pregnancy has gone by quickly. He will be here before we know it. I have the nursery ready... has been for months now. :) I just need to get myself ready. Having another boy makes getting the room, clothes, and "stuff" ready pretty easy.

Next time I post it will probably be because our new addition is here. Hope all is well!

In the midst of all the stuff going on and Paul's work travel we managed to finally get a weekend in to do family pics. The girl we worked with was "phenom" as Paul would say. :) Hope you enjoy them as much as we do! Thanks Heidi!
